Heather has been an invaluable part of the DASH family for nearly two years, and in real estate for twenty-eight years. While she has called North Carolina home for the last seven years, her roots stretch all the way to the Last Frontier and back again.

"I'm Alaska born and raised," Heather shares, "but my family's roots are originally in the Outer Banks. My dad is retired Coast Guard."

Today, Heather lives in Mooresville, where she fully embraces the diverse lifestyle that North Carolina offers. "I love that I can drive a few hours and be in the mountains or be at the beach," she says. "I love that Mooresville is right near Lake Norman and has so many great downtown events, food trucks, and live music."

On a free Saturday morning, you can usually find her fueling up at Defined Coffee, a fantastic local roastery, or grabbing a bite at Famous Toastery for brunch. When we asked her where her favorite "third space" is to wake up with the community outside of her house and the office, Heather joked that it's definitely the gym.

When she is heading out to support local businesses, Josh’s Farmers Market is a mandatory stop for fresh veggies, beautiful plants, and flowers. For retail therapy, Cozy Boutique in Mooresville is her go-to spot because the team there is always friendly and offers great service. And when it comes to hitting the local food scene, Heather loves the diverse options the area has to offer.

"Love great Sushi," Heather says. "Sushi at the Lake has the best rolls. The Tornado and G-Crunchy are my favorites."

If you are visiting the area or looking to relocate, Heather recommends checking out Birkdale Village for great food, shopping, and an entirely walkable experience. Another absolute must-see is Lake Norman itself.

"Lake Norman is NC's largest man-made lake at over 32,000 acres," Heather notes. And for any fellow NASCAR fans out there, she adds, "Mooresville is known as Race City USA."
