Born and raised in Kansas City (Go Chiefs! 🏈), Shayla moved to the Carolinas on a tennis scholarship to attend Fayetteville State University, where she became a two-time CIAA Women’s Tennis Champion while earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She is a proud wife, mother, entrepreneur, sports enthusiast, and God-fearing woman who is passionate about serving others, building meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact within her community. Real estate became a natural fit because it allowed her to combine her passion for helping people with her background in psychology. Her education gave her a deeper understanding of communication, relationships, and the importance of truly listening to people’s needs. She believes buying or selling a home is more than just a transaction — it’s a major life moment that deserves patience, care, guidance, and genuine support. Through real estate, she is able to help clients navigate those moments with confidence while building lasting connections along the way. Known for her approachable personality, strong work ethic, and heart for service, Shayla is committed to creating an experience where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout every step of the process. Outside of real estate, she enjoys staying active and competitive through sports. In addition to playing collegiate tennis, she also played volleyball at Fayetteville State University, earning additional scholarship support toward her education. Today, she continues her competitive spirit through kickball — and jokes that ESPN may be in her future someday 🙃. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she remains dedicated to community involvement and service to all mankind.
I work on a few simple philosophies:
Every house is the RIGHT house for you at the RIGHT price.
Every house is the WRONG house for you at the WRONG price.
Remember, you don't make your money when you sell your house, you make it when you buy!!!
And finally, there is NO such thing as a once in a lifetime deal...there will always be another one.
My reviews are not from family members 'fluffing' and artificially inflating my ratings....they come from actual clients, all of whom by the end of their transactions I can energetically call friends.
I will work tirelessly for you. Those aren't empty words, I promise. And if we have to visit every house in the state to find the right one for you, then you're probably too picky :)
