Licensed since 2024, Jess brings to real estate more than two decades of experience as a business owner, professional musician, and entertainer—careers that taught him how to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and solve problems under pressure. Jess also brings extensive hands-on experience renovating older homes, having worked as a contractor earlier in life. He is knowledgeable in how houses are built from the foundation up, not just finishes and square footage. He believes buyers and sellers deserve more than someone who simply opens doors or puts a sign in the yard. His approach is to study the evidence, identify potential problems early, and help clients make confident decisions based on their actual goals. Whether helping a buyer evaluate a home or helping a seller determine the strongest strategy for bringing a property to market, Jess approaches real estate as an advisor and advocate first. He believes good representation combines market knowledge, careful preparation, and the willingness to tell a client what they need to know—not simply what they want to hear. When he isn’t working in real estate, Jess can often be found behind a piano. After more than 25 years performing professionally, music remains a major part of his life—along with spending time with his family, exploring Western North Carolina, and continuing his lifelong habit of learning how things work.
